Waiting for the Other Shoe to Drop

A true humorous tale about shoes and betrayal.

It was my birthday. I just turned five years old!! A momentous event! I was sitting on my front porch with my two best friends in the whole world. Stephanie hands me my gift. I excitedly unwrap it. I open the box and there before me was the cutest pair of sandals. How I love shoes! It was the best gift! I was just about to thank her when my other friend yells, “those are my shoes!”

Turns out that her shoes were stolen earlier that day from her front porch.

My two best friends were fighting and my new shoes already repossessed! I didn’t even get to try them on! What a world! I sat heartbroken and contemplating stealing the sandals back (ninja style) later that night. (Joke)

What a birthday! One that I will never forget!
