Simon sent me this challenge. It’s one I have been thinking about.
My 2019 letter to my 2020 self:
Another year and you’re still here!! I hope you are doing well. You overcame so much the last several years and experienced so many changes. So many. You were in crash position for a very long time. It was nice once you could finally catch your breath.
Are you done catching your breath? I hope so. You deserve to smile. So do so every day. Remember to take time for yourself. Even if it’s just for a country drive, playing your favorite music, or a short walk.
I know you’ve been thinking about creating jewelry again. I hope that you found new inspiration and began again. What about your garage? Have you been able to clear it out and get a studio set up? If not you should. No matter how long it takes. You can make whatever you want in your studio. You can paint, maybe one day get a kiln and create your own pendants for your jewelry. The sky is the limit.
You were finding your way still last year but gaining confidence with each day. Believe in yourself always and never let anyone make you believe that you cannot accomplish whatever you set out to do. Never again.
In closing, I hope you continue to blog. Share with others. Share the pain, the joys, the laughs, your adventures and the music. These things are a part of you. You struggle opening up to people. Remember not everyone is out to destroy you with your thoughts and words. Continue to believe in yourself and create! Do it for you.
