Lie to Me

FB Archives 2014

I have heard many people say that they would rather be hurt with the truth than with a lie. This is the biggest lie of all. There is a difference between a white lie and a bold face lie. It is called sparing someone’s feelings.

Example: If your wife came to you and asks, how she looks in a dress that she just spent her last dollar on and you are not particularly fond of the way it makes her ass look like two pigs fighting under a blanket….would you say that? I hope not! You would hopefully, find a more delicate way of letting her know that you don’t care for that dress, sparing her feelings. Hopefully.

Therefore, you withheld your exact thoughts, even though she point blank asked you. White lie people.

Warning! To the man who actually allows his exact thoughts to flow from his brain and out of his mouth, I have a few words for you….ICE ICE BABY….you’re gonna need some.

  1. I have been brought up to be honest. If people want me to lie, don’t ask my opinion. I will never say something to deliberately hurt someone, but I expect people to tell me the truth and I will do the same to them. My way of being diplomatic is just to ignore the question.

    1. Hahaha! Likely smart move to not answer. Women ask but we will get mad at the answer if we don’t like it. I never ask. Course I don’t have a hubby to ask. I just make sure I check myself out really well before leaving my home. Double mirror method is my friend!

      1. Skirt tucked into underwear, that sort of thing 😉 I’ve left the house before in a hurry and was on the train going to work when I realised I’d actually put on two different shoes on each foot! One was navy and the other was black, both slip on shoes. I got a lot of comments that day. 🙂

  2. Some men used that line as a copout for being selfish. Instead of trying to be diplomatic and compromise, they’d bluntly be “honest” and then you’d be stuck either giving in 100% or feeling selfish/guilty for not. Bleh!
