Food for Thought-It Just Takes One Person to Make a Difference

I am waiting until Monday for the letter T on the A 2 Z Challenge. I like the message in today’s theme. It will be the theme all weekend.

We hear it on the news daily. Lost youth wreaking havoc, grandparents raising their grandkids, children getting lost in the system.

Let’s face it, some people should not be parents. A parent lives for their kid/s. Priorities shift when you become a parent. Or at least they should.

In my movie selection, Secondhand Lions, we see a young man finding the love and care he needed his entire life from his great uncles. His life with his mom was chaotic. You see his mother loved him but she didn’t love herself. This spilled over onto him.

I want to celebrate all of those individuals out there that have had a positive impact in a child’s life. Some kids lack many things at home. Some are fortunate enough to have someone that is always there providing love and nourishment for their soul.

Sometimes it is the little things that we take for granted. These are usually the things that can make all the difference in a child’s life.

Many blessings to everyone and a very happy Easter! I leave you with this quote from the movie, Secondhand Lions:
