Welcome to my crazy world. Life, music, animals and misadventures with my twisted humor leading the way!
Missed Opportunities
As many of you know, when I was 27, I was in a roller coaster accident. I don’t want to regurgitate the details of that time in my life. What I want to talk about is an opportunity missed during that time.
I had a ticket to a concert a couple weeks after the accident. Pat Benatar and Styx. I was so excited when we first got the tickets. My sister, a girlfriend and I were ready!
Needless to say, I was in too much pain to go to the concert. I sat at home crying. Seems silly to cry about missing a concert with everything else going on. But I think by now, everyone that follows my blog understands what music means to me.
Fast forward 22 years. Pat Benatar will be here in my hometown. in concert. I started looking at seats and prices. I could feel my heart beating faster. Tears rolling down my face. It’s going to happen.
Sometimes an opportunity presents itself a second time. I will see you then Pat Benatar!
I know how much music means to you, us. I would have cried too. I’ve only been to 3 concerts: Dixie Chicks in high school, Seether last year and my Shinedown in March. I could go to every one if I could.
I’m so happy for you. I expect tons of pics! โค๐ถ
Its’ not silly to cry about something like that. That must have been so frustrating! At least you get to see her now =D Although I was not in a accident. My anxiety has stopped me from doing so much and it’s frustratingly exhausting. But we can do it now =D
I bet! I would be too. When I graduated high school, I was in a band, and I sang a lot of her music. LOL! Back in the day when I could sing soprano one. Those were fun times!!

Sounds like a blast!! The concert ai missed, my daughter went in my place. She was 10 years old. It was her first concert. How amazing for a first concert! She thought Styx was alright but she adored Pat! She knew all her songs! I brought her up right! ๐๐

LOL! I saw the show with Styx and Pat too. It was, oh my gawd… back in 1987-88 I think. In New York City, I was blown away by both. I can only imagine the excitement your daughter felt.
Yes, you definitely brought your daughter up right!!! ๐

I bet it was amazing! They have toured together a couple times. This was 97. How amazing that these musicians banded together multiple times to tour!

I wish I could hav a time machine to all the times I went to see all the concerts I went to. Those were some of the greatest times I had.
My husband at the time and I knew of a guy that worked at a NY Long Island Rock Station. We used to get tickets to anything we wanted. The best was meeting the band memebers of many bands that we saw between 1987 to 2000. The summer season was maddening though. We worked full-time and went to concerts at least a minimum of three times a week. LOL! Just thinking about it is making feel exhausted all over again. Hahahaha

๐๐๐ Indeed!
Pat Benatar is one of the very few concerts Iโve been to ~ my boyfriend at the time took me, in 1982. It was fabulous! Glad youโre going. โค๏ธ
Unfortunately, with my issues I donโt go on rides ever or to many concerts these days.
I donโt do rides anymore. I feel ya there! Pat is one of my favs and I could not be more excited!
