My ex-husband (then husband) had gastric bypass surgery in Indianapolis. When the nurses wheeled him into his room after the surgery, he received several visitors.
Outside his window, peeking in were several Turkey Vultures. At first I was freaked out by this. The nurses said that they greet every patient when first taken to their room after surgery. They can smell the blood.
Can you imagine? You undergo a major surgery and still out of it from anesthesia and see vultures staring in at you! It’s a bit unsettling!
Yes, it was quite an unusual to see these huge birds outside the hospital window, almost cartoonish…is that a word?
It’s a word! I think. Lol!
I put a vido on for the memorial/war song prompt at: htyps://rugby843.blog today. I doubt the pingback is correct but couldn’t get my phone to show your url.
Disturbing – and kinda hilarious!
Right?! 😂
Like something out of a horror film 😂
Exactly!
yikes! i’ve worked in a lot of hospitals and i just learned something.
I had never heard of such a thing. Crazy!
me either……….that is just scary.
Sounds like an opening scene to a Stephen King book.
Doesn’t it though?!
Uummmm, yeah! Knowing now what I know about vultures, that’s super disturbing.
Big time!
