Childhood Memories

I found out that a childhood friend passed away suddenly yesterday. We had not seen each other in many many years. We were friends on FB and would message one another from time to time.

Hearing of her passing brought a flood of childhood memories. Sleepovers, birthday parties, ghost stories, staying up late giggling and being silly young girls.

The reality is, none of us are getting out of here alive. The older we get, the more losses we will experience. Though we weren’t tight as adults as we once were, my heart remembers my childhood friend and all the great times we shared. The world was a better place with her in it. Cherish every second and don’t waste time on things that are insignificant. Life is meant to be lived. So get busy living.
