Don’t Waste It

I was 27 years old in 1997. Had my entire life ahead of me. Sorry, bare with me. I didn’t know an accident would drastically alter my life. Tomorrow night I get to finally see Pat Benatar in concert. I had tickets to see her and Styx in concert at the now no more Robert’s Stadium. I wasn’t able to attend due to the pain I was in from the accident I was in.

I am thrilled I get another chance to see her. I’ve waited a very long time for this. I’m just a bit emotional about it. I lost so much time and I do not intend on wasting any time I have left on this earth. You get one shot at life. Don’t waste it. If you miss out on something and God gives you a 2nd chance, take it! Many blessings!

  1. Wow, this is BIG! I’ve never heard of Pat Benatar but the emotional significance of this… I get that. It hurts every time I look back at ‘what was’ and all the years I’ve lost because of illness and then chronic pain. It sucks. I really hope you had the best time possible at the concert, you deserve so many more times of happiness and goodness in your life!

    1. Thank you!! It was amazing!! Yes it is hard to miss out on things due to illness or pain. I try to focus on what I have and can do and not on losses. Sometimes that’s easier said than done.

  2. Thank you for sharing and I’m glad you finally get to see the amazing Pat Benatar. I love that “Hit Me With Your Best Shot” song she sings! I hope you have a wonderful time at the concert! 🙂
