Food for Thought-Boundaries

You’re not being selfish. You’re not making mountains of molehills. You’re not being difficult. Boundaries are a must. We set the bar at how we expect to be treated. If we don’t then we make ourselves doormats.

  1. Dr Henry Cloud wrote a great book on the subject, called (ironically) “Boundaries”. He does a great job of laying out how a lack of boundaries is self destructive and frequently also serve to keep those taking advantage of you trapped in a self-destructive behavior as well, making you an enabler not a helper.
